With recent structural changes to accommodate the massive development underway across Northern Australia, a vacancy exists for a Nursery Manager to join the Kununurra operations team.

Nursery Manager

Reporting to the Seedling Supply Manager, the Nursery Manager will be responsible for the day to day nursery operations including supervision of up to twenty casual staff, ensuring seedlings meet required specifications and assisting with the continual improvement of the nursery’s safety, quality and operational efficiencies.

Essential

  • Certificate in Management /Horticulture or a related field
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Experience in Staff management
  • Experience in pest and disease management
  • Current LR driver license
  • The ability to carry out duties in accordance with OHS regulations
  • Practical technical skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Developed communication skills and leadership skills
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to undertake weekend work on a rotating basis
  • Experience in the use of computer software including Microsoft office and other basic equipment

Desirable

  • Occupational and Remote First Aid Certificate
  • Chemical Application Certificate
  • Current HR driver’s license
  • Forklift ticket

  • Management of the nursery team
