Quintis is a global leader in the production of Indian and Australian sandalwood products. Our team of over 200 people is committed to bringing the benefits of sandalwood to the world, servicing clients in over 70 international markets.
We’re in the business of nurturing for growth, and nurturing our people is no different. Ongoing training and development, ensuring employee safety and promoting from within are all ways we protect our most valuable asset and realise its potential.
Our success depends on harnessing the energy and contributions of all our people safely.
We can always be trusted to deliver on our commitments.
Our actions of today can make a difference to the wellbeing of our people and the planet.
Our curiosity and willingness to evolve keeps us pioneering new and better ways.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
The complexity and variability of our business requires a talented team with a wide range of specialist skills. We have a team of agronomists, forest scientists, irrigation experts and entomologists who are all focused on the care of our trees, creating optimal growing conditions and supporting the forest ecosystem.
Our production staff, machine operators, engineers, chemists and quality assurance teams transform harvested trees into high quality oil, wood and powder according to client specifications. Safety managers at Quintis ensure our people are kept safe and adhere to safety procedures whilst going about their job.
Our Research and Development team works tirelessly to innovate and improve in areas such as tree growth, product quality, business efficiencies and environmental management.
From sales and marketing to human resources and accounting, our business support team ensures the benefits of sandalwood are communicated universally and that the business runs smoothly and efficiently.
As a Quintis team member, you have access to a variety of benefits including flexible working guidelines, an active wellness program, competitive remuneration packages, retail product discounts, and career development.
We are very excited about the potential for our ingredients and products to contribute to people’s wellbeing.
We also believe in the power of prevention – the small things that we can all do every day that will add up to big health benefits in the long run.
Permanent employees are encouraged to take advantage of our Wellness Program to claim eligible expenses in the categories of nutrition, preventative health, fitness, and mental health.
We are committed to providing our employees with a working environment that is supportive, productive and promotes innovation. We have flexible workplace guidelines including changes to patterns of work hours, working away from the office/usual workplace, working part-time, and job-sharing arrangements.
Making a positive contribution to the diverse communities in which we operate in Australia and overseas is something we value. Eligible employees can access Volunteer Leave to undertake volunteering activities for not-for-profit community organisations and make a direct and practical difference in your community.
We offer up to 16 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers for eligible employees; plus paid and unpaid non-primary carer leave.
Our employees are eligible to purchase up to two weeks of additional leave per year to help you balance work responsibilities and personal commitments.
Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is provided by an independent provider and provides free, confidential on-call professional counselling and mental health support. We offer our EAP to all Quintis employees and their immediate family members.
We are committed to helping our employees grow. We encourage and support our employees to actively pursue their professional and career development and we offer a mentoring program, available to all employees.
Quintis supports workplace gender equality and is committed to the regular analysis, monitoring and improvements in gender pay equity, and policies that support diversity, inclusion, and workplace flexibility.
Our remuneration philosophy is to reward and remunerate in line with local market conditions which are sufficiently competitive to attract, motivate and retain the best people. Actual remuneration for an individual takes into account the location and nature of the work, and the individual’s experience, skills and time/performance in the role. However, we do not discriminate based on gender.
The gender pay gap data for Quintis, published by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, shows the difference between the average or median pay of all women in the organisation compared with all men. It is not a measure of pay equality for like for like roles within our organisation.
The reported gap of 20.9% (median total remuneration) is driven by 2 major factors:
