This aligns with our own expectations given the significant demand we find for our premium wood and oil in China. TFS has already signed a five year contract to supply 150 tonnes of processed heartwood logs to China each year.

Our first shipment of heartwood logs under this contract was dispatched in late September and has already arrived in China.  Payment has also been received for the second shipment which left Fremantle port for China this week.

Sandalwood has diverse uses in China with demand from traditional markets and also modernised sectors, such as furniture, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and aromatherapy markets.

TFS has now entered into multi-year supply contracts with international customers across a range of different markets, including European cosmetics, US essential oil and pharmaceutical, and Chinese and Indian wood markets. As a result, the vast majority of TFS’s harvests for the next five years have been forward sold.
